Help! I have a four inch Ryukin goldfish. He's been bottom sitting in this one particular corner of his tank. Every now and then, when I come into the room, he'll liven up and swim around, but once I've stepped tending to him, he ends up back in that corner. He's got nitrate burns, and I'd like to know how to fix that (I've already got a better filter and added a few plants in his tank, which is 10 gallons). But could there be anything else the matter with him?
Once burns turn black it’s the burns healing, and you fix that problem by fixing the water quality so the ones they have will heal and they wont get any more. So you’re already doing something right! bottom sitting is a really vague sign of illness, I recommend this website http://thegab.org/Illness-and-Treatment/what-is-wrong-with-my-fish.html which is easy to use and you diagnose by symptoms! Finn died a long time ago, I just liked him and his brothers alot because they are the fish who got me in to fish keeping and I was devastated when they passed so I’ll still post pictures of them sometimes
